The question on the ballot:

Shall Monroe County levy a tax of one mill (1 dollar per $1,000 of taxable value) for the years 2013 through 2020 in order to provide operating funds for the Monroe County Library System? This millage would raise an estimated $5,695,082 for library purposes in the first year after approval.[3]
