The question on the ballot:

Shall the Monroe County Senior Citizen Millage, originally approved for one-half (1/2) mill, ($.50 per $1,000.00 of taxable value), levied upon the taxable real and tangible personal property within the County of Monroe, Michigan be renewed for a period of four (4) years, commencing in 2013 and continuing through 2016, for the sole and exclusive purpose of providing funds for senior citizen services to the residents (sixty years of age and older) of Monroe County? The estimated revenue for the first year of the levy, if the renewal proposition is approved, shall be approximately $2,847,541.00.[3]
