The good

  • Agendas and a meeting calendar are provided.[1] Meeting minutes are provided back to 1957.[2]
  • The most current audit and budget are provided.[3]
  • Information is provided on property taxes.[4][5]
  • Administration provides an office address, phone number and email for department heads.[6]
  • A fee schedule, email, office address, and phone number are provided for the County Clerk, who identifies their role fulfilling public records requests.[7]
  • Zoning ordinances and permit applications are available online.[8]

The bad

  • Budgets and audits need to be provided for the past 3-5 years.
  • Approved contract statements are not available for vendors above $10,000.
  • If the county engaged in lobbying actives or if its a member of lobbying associations is not disclosed. Nor is the total cost lobbying activities or membership dues for associations available.
  • County commissioners are not listed. Also an email address is not provided.
