Morris Hood is a Democratic member of the Michigan State Senate, representing District 3 since January 1, 2011. He currently serves as State Senate Minority Caucus Leader. Prior to his time in the Senate, Hood served six years in the State House, representing District 11.

Before his election to the Legislature, Hood worked for the Dearborn Engine Plant as an assembly line worker. He worked at Dearborn for seven years.
