A Morton School District 709 Bond Measure was on the April 5, 2011 ballot in the Morton school district area which is in Tazewell County.

This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $12.5 million which would go towards making building improvements to the district elementary schools. A group in support of the measure had formed to help educate residents and promote the school's ideas for the bond money.[2] Both the Morton Economic Development Council and the Chamber of Commerce of Morton had given endorsements in favor of this measure noting that the approval of the measure was important for community growth. The school district has a good reputation and both organizations felt that the schools deserved this money to ensure growth continues in the community.[3]
