Mount Vernon School District Replacement Levy, 2 (February 2010)

There were two Mount Vernon School District Levy measures on the February 9 ballot in Skagit County for voters in the Mount Vernon school district.

This measure was approved

  • YES 5,085 (66.23%)Approveda
  • NO 2,593 (33.77%)

This measure was approved

  • YES 4,784 (62.5%)Approveda
  • NO 2,870 (37.5%)[1]

The first measure sought to renew an existing levy that was set to expire in order to further funding educational operation costs in the district. The levy will be in place for a further two years and will be at a rate of $3.10 per $1,000 of assessed value.

The second measure sought to add an additional $.16 to the levy in order to further help fund technology modernization and upgrades in the schools. It will also be in place for a further two years. [2]
