Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

The Board of Commissioners of Thurston County Fire Protection District No. 15 adopted Resolution No. R2011.001 concerning a proposition to restore the District’s regular property tax levy. The proposition would authorize an increase in regular property tax levies in 2012-2017 for fire protection services, equipment and facilities. The 2012 levy rate would be $1.50 per $1,000 of assessed value. The limiting factor for calculating the 2013-2017 maximum levies would be the increase in infl ation, measured by the consumer price index, as identified in the resolution. The 2017 levy limit shall be used to determine levy limits.[3]
