Naches Valley School District Replacement Levy, 2 (February 2010)

There were two Naches Valley School District Replacement Levy measures on the February 9 ballot in Yakima County for voters in the Naches Valley school district.

Both measures were approved
Proposition 1

  • YES 1,564 (65.99%)Approveda
  • NO 807 (34.01%)

Proposition 2

  • YES 1,345 (57.68%)Approveda
  • NO 988 (42.32%)[1]

The first measure sought to replace an existing levy that was set to expire, the money from this levy is used for educational maintenance and operational expenses for the district. The levy will be in the amount of $3.04 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further two years.

The second measure sought to implement an additional levy in the amount of $1.26 for a further two years in order to pay for install and upgrade new technology in the district schools.[2]
