This measure sought to allow the district to adopt a budget which exceeds the set revenue limit by a rate of ten percent for a period of six years in order to further pay for maintenance and operational costs in the district.[2]

The question on the ballot:
| Shall the Governing Board of Nadaburg Unified School District No. 81 of Maricopa County, Arizona, adopt a General Maintenance and Operation Budget which includes an amount that exceeds the revenue control limit specified by statute by ten percent for fiscal year 2012-2013 and for six subsequent years as described below? The 2012-2013 budget override authority represents a continuation of the existing budget override authority which is scheduled to phase down by one-third in fiscal year 2012-2013 if the voters do not approve the continuation. |
