Fischman stated, "The present government of Tennessee, and the legislation that has been introduced over the past two years, is an embarrassment. It is time for a change, and I am one of the persons to make that change. I will take a progressive stand and, if elected, will help move this state back, or should I say forward, into the 21st Century."[3]
