Nancy Todd is a Democratic member of the Colorado House of Representatives, representing the 41st District since 2005 and currently serving as Assistant Minority Leader.

Todd worked as a teacher with Cherry Creek School District 5 from 1970-1973 and 1983-2004. She is currently a member of Children Achieving Reading Excellence, and Literacy Chair of the National Board of American Mothers, Incorporated.[1]

Todd is running for election to the Colorado State Senate in 2012.

Issues

Todd did not provide answers to the Colorado State Legislative Election 2008 Political Courage Test. The test provides voters with how a candidate would vote on the issues if elected.[2]

Colorado Senate Bill 57

As a member of the Colorado House Education Committee, Todd voted against Colorado Senate Bill 57, also known as the Public School Financial Transparency Act, a bill to create transparency in state education expenditures. Todd received substantial campaign contributions from the Colorado Education Association, which lobbied against the bill's passage.[3]

Todd is running in the 2012 election for Colorado State Senate District 28; her husband and former campaign manager Terry is running for her seat.[4] She is running unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 26, 2012. The general election takes place on November 6, 2012. [5]
