Berry worked as a Magistrate in the Unified Judicial System of South Dakota from 1984 to 1986. She began working as a practicing consultant for Turbak Law Office in 1982 and has worked there since.
Berry earned her B.A. in Government from Harvard College in 1977. She went on to receive his J.D. in Jurisprudence from Boalt Hall School of Law in 1981.
