The National Latino Officers Association (NLOA) is an advocacy organization. Dedicated to creating a coordinated network of support, the NLOA has members from law enforcement agencies and various companies. The general mission "is to promote tolerance toward and understanding of the Latino culture in all public and private agencies, especially in the law enforcement community."[1] There are no ethnic requirements for membership and members can be employed by public or private employers.[2]


NLOA is led by a board of directors. The 2013 board members are as follows: Anthony Miranda, Louis A. Molina, Robert Gonzalez, Manny Gonzalez, Julio C. Diaz, Melvin “Moe” Marreo, William Perez and Eddie Garcia. Anthony Miranda is the current chairman of the board and Louis A. Molina is the president.[3]
