Personal
Hunt earned his BS in Spanish from Hampden-Sydney College in 1964. He went on to receive his MBA in Marketing/Finance from Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1968.
Hunt was Assistant Vice President of Wachovia Bank from 1968 to 1972. He was then General Partner for Hunt-Austin Associates from 1973 to 1980. He then became President of Hunt Properties, Incorporated from 1980 to 1991. He has been President of HMC Corporation since 1991.
Hunt and his wife Frances have two children.
