Nebraska Amendment 1, also known as a constitutional amendment to clarify English language requirements in schools, was on the November 7, 2002 election ballot in Nebraska. It was defeated, with 43% of voters in favor.
The measure was referred to the ballot by the Nebraska State Legislature.

Amends section 27 of the Article I of the Nebraska Constitution to eliminate language requirements for private, denominational and parochial schools.
