The Nebraska Presiding Officer of Legislature Change Amendment, also known as Amendment 6, was a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment on the May 12, 1998 primary election ballot in Nebraska, where it was approved.
Aftermath
A similar proposition to remove the Lt. Governor as presiding officer of the Legislature was also defeated in 2004.
