Nevada Amendment 6 was on the November 1980 ballot in the state of Nevada as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have authorized the establishment of an intermediate appellate court of appeals in the state. This was the first out of four attempts to create such a court, with the fourth potential ballot measure being considered for the 2014 ballot.[1][2][3][4]

Path to the ballot

A majority vote is required (in two successive sessions of) the Nevada State Legislature in order to send a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment to the ballot.
