U.S. Attorney Greg Brower of Nevada announced his appointment of Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul Padda to lead the efforts for voting integrity in Nevada. Brower and Padda will be on duty while the polls are open on election day as part of a program began by the Justice Department on October 8.[1]

Justice Department Program

The ballot access and voting integrity program was created by the Justice Department to prevent voter intimidation, suppression, discrimination, and election fraud. If any of these do occur, all offenses will be prosecuted.

In his announcement, Brower said, "Election fraud and voting rights abuses dilute the worth of votes honestly cast. They also corrupt the essence of our representative form of government. As crimes against both the individual and the government, they will be dealt with promptly and aggressively. Anyone who has information suggesting electoral corruption or voting rights abuses should immediately make that information available to my office, the FBI or the Civil Rights Division."
