The New Jersey Association of Realtors (NJAR) was founded in 1916 as the Real Estate League of New Jersey. It is a membership organization comprised of members from the commercial and residential real estate fields. NJAR is divided into 24 local boards with a total of over 46,000 members. It is an affiliate of the larger National Association of Realtors.

Mission Statement:

"The New Jersey Association of REALTORS® exists to support all segments of its membership, in concert with the local boards and associations of REALTORS® and the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, by developing and delivering programs, services and related products which enhances the ability to conduct business successfully and ethically, and to promote the extension and preservation of the right to own, transfer and use real property."
