|“||In order to maintain 24 hour/7 day paid fire protection and ensure rapid emergency response, replace out of date equipment, to provide necessary fire, rescue and EMS training, and maintain the safety standards in this Fire Protection District, shall the Board of Directors of the New Melle Fire Protection District be authorized to levy an additional tax of not more than eighteen (18) cents per hundred per (100) dollars assessed valuation, the revenues from which shall be deposited in the general fund and used for the support of the district?||”|
