The 2nd Congressional District of New Mexico is a congressional district including the southern half of New Mexico.

New Mexico's 2nd congressional district is located in the western portion of the state and includes Cibola, Catron, Socorro, Grant, Hidalgo, Luna, Sierra, Dona Ana, Otero, Lincoln, Valencia, Bernaillo, Guadalupe, De Baca, Chaves, Eddy, Lea, and Roosevelt counties.[1]

The district previously included Las Cruces and Roswell.

The current representative of the 2nd congressional district is Steve Pearce (R).

The 2nd congressional district of New Mexico held an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 6, 2012. Incumbent Steve Pearce won re-election in the district.[2]

2010

On November 2, 2010, Steve Pearce was re-elected to the United States House for a fourth non-consecutive term. He defeated Harry Teague (D).[3]
