New Mexico Bond Question 3, also known as Bond Question C, was on the November 4, 2008 ballot in New Mexico, along with three other bond questions as part of the 2008 Capital Projects General Obligation Bond Act passed by the New Mexico State Legislature.

All four bond measures were approved by voters, and the total amount is $223,802,000 ($22.3 million).

Specific Questions

Bond Question 3 enacted the following provisions:

  • Authorize the issuance and sale of health facility improvement bonds not to exceed $57,925,000.
  • The funds would be for capital expenditures for cancer research and treatment facilites, other statewide and regional health facilities, educational facilities for statewide dental services andpublic health and behavioral health facilities.
  • Provide for a general property tax imposition and levy for the payment of principal of, interest on and expenses incurred in connection with the issuance of the bonds and for the collection of the tax as permitted by law.
