Federal offices
U.S. Senate
Partisan candidates for U.S. Senate must submit signatures equal to at least 5% of the enrolled voters of the political unit. The signature requirement for U.S. Senate is 15,000 signatures, with at least 100 signatures, or 5% of enrolled voters, from each of one-half of the congressional districts.[1]
Independent candidates for U.S. Senate must submit signatures equal to at least 5% of the total number of votes, excluding blank and void ballots, cast for the office of Governor at the last gubernatorial election in such unit. The signature requirement is 15,000 signatures, with at least 100 signatures, or 5% of enrolled voters, from each of one-half of the congressional districts.[1]
U.S. House
Partisan candidates for U.S. House must submit signatures equal to at least 5% of the enrolled voters of the political unit. The signature requirement for U.S. House district is 1,250 signatures.[1]
Independent candidates must submit signatures equal to at least 5% of the total number of votes, excluding blank and void ballots, cast for the office of Governor at the last gubernatorial election in such unit. The signature requirement is 3,500 signatures.[1]

Candidates were required to file for the June 26, 2012 congressional primary by April 13, 2012.[2]

Statewide executive offices
Governor
Partisan candidates for Governor must submit signatures equal to at least 5% of the enrolled voters of the political unit. The signature requirement for Governor is 15,000 signatures, with at least 100 signatures, or 5% of enrolled voters, from each of one-half of the congressional districts.[1]

State Senate
Partisan candidates for State Senate must submit at least 1,000 signatures.[1]
Independent candidates for State Senate must submit at least 3,000 signatures.[1]
State House
Partisan candidates for State Assembly must submit at least 500 signatures.[1]
Independent candidates for State Assembly must submit at least 1,500 signatures.[1]
