NORMAN,Oklahoma:Oklahoma State Republican Representative Mark McCullough has written House Bill 1548, which would make it harder for couples in Oklahoma to obtain a divorce. The bill specifically does not allow couples with minor children living in the home, couples that have been married longer than ten years or couples with one partner objecting to divorce based on irreconcilable differences.[1] According to Clarence Hill Jr., who is the executive director of Eye to Eye Marriage Enrichment Community, “We believe that the best way to cause government not to expand is by strengthening the family.”[1]
