Fair Election
Hanaway said the purpose of the hotline is to help ensure a fair election, stating, "The core of our purpose is to make it as easy as possible to vote and as tough as possible to cheat."[1]
Ryan Hobart, spokesman for the Secretary of State, said that there have not been any cases of voter fraud in Missouri in recent years, but that there has been voter registration fraud. His office is working with Hanaway's to protect against fraud and intimidation.
Hotline
Hanaway stressed that the hotline is not for information such as where polling places are, but only to report incidents. The number is 573-331-0503. Assistant States Attorney John Bodenhausen will oversee all reports.[2]
