Hagner serves as the Mayor of Chatham Township. She earned her B.A. in sports medicine from the University of Pittsburgh and her M.A. in elementary education from Seton Hall University.
Hagner was a candidate for District 27 of the New Jersey General Assembly. Hagner and Lee Holtzman ran unopposed in the Republican Primary on June 7. She was defeated in the November 8 general election. Incumbents Mila Jasey and John McKeon defeated Ellen Steinberg in the Democratic primary.
