No initiative legislation passes on the last day of session in Delaware

WILMINGTON, Delaware: The Delaware Legislature ended its 2009-2010 regular session with no initiative legislation approved.
Two legislative proposals were considered during the 2009-2010 regular session dealing with expanding citizen initiative in the State of Delaware. Senate Bill 12 was aimed at allowing the state's citizens to both propose state statutes and amendments to the Delaware Constitution. Also, the bill allowed for both direct and indirect methods to be used for initiated state statutes. The bill failed to advance out of legislative committee.
