Noble Ellington (b. May 28, 1942) is a former Republican member of the Louisiana House of Representatives. He represented the 20th District from 1988-1995 and from 2007 to 2012. Ellington served in the Louisiana State Senate from 1996-2007. Formerly a Democratic member of the House, Noble officially announced his decision to become a Republican on December 17, 2010.[1]

Ellington worked as a farmer from 1983-1986, and was a cotton merchant and owner of Ellington Cotton Company Incorporated.

He is a member of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), Chamber of Commerce, Farm Bureau Board of Directors, Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, and the Southern Legislative Conference (SLC).[2]

Ellington was eligible for re-election in 2011, but announced on June 20 that he would not seek another term in order to spend more time with his family.[3]

2007

In 2007, Ellington was re-elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives. He defeated Cleve Womack.[4]
