Following his serving in the U.S. Army Signal Corps, Rokeberg started his own small business in 1967. He spent many years as a commercial real estate broker, specializing in leasing and development of major office buildings. In 1995 he was elected the Alaska House of Representatives, where he served six consecutive terms. From 2007 to 2010, he was Chairman of various State of Alaska Advisory Working Groups.
