In February 2012, the grassroots organization Democracy for America, founded by Howard Dean, named Solomon one of the top 10 progressive candidates in the 2012 U.S. House races.[1]
Career
Solomon is an educator on media, politics, foreign policy and public affairs.[2] He is the co-founder of the media watchdog group Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting (FAIR).[2]

Solomon ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing California's 2nd District. He was defeated in the June 5, 2012, open primary.[3][4]
