The question on the ballot:
|Shall Norman Township, Manistee County, Michigan, increase the constitutional limitation on the total amount of general ad valorem taxes imposed upon real and tangible personal property for all purposes in Norman Township, Manistee County, Michigan, by an additional one (1) mill ($1.00 per $1000 taxable valuation) and levy an additional one (1) mill ($1.00 per $1000 of taxable valuation) for a period of two (2) years, (2012-2013, inclusive) for Township ambulance operations and for purposes of acquiring, construction, furnishing and equipping a new Township Fire and Ambulance facility, together with parking lot and utility improvements and all appurtenances and attachments thereto for use by the Township? (This is a renewal request of the one (1) mill for ambulance operations and for constructing and equipping a new Township Fire and Ambulance facility for two (2) years which expired in 2011; if approved, it is estimated that the revenue generated by this proposal in the first year would be $54,118.81.)|
