This measure sought to renew the current school income tax which was set at a rate of 1 percent value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for current expenses in the school district.[1]

The question on the ballot:
| Shall an annual income tax of one percent (1%) on the earned income of individuals residing in the School District be imposed by the North Baltimore Local School District to renew an income tax expiring at the end of 2012, for five (5) years, beginning January 1, 2013, for the purpose of current expenses? |
