Aiming to offer a more informed role in the election process to North Carolinians. Responsible for administering the election process and finance disclosure in North Carolina ^[1].

• It is the only statutory bi-partisan, quasi-judicial supervisory board in North Carolina State government. The Governor of North Carolina appoints the five members of the Board [1].

• Voter Registration as of 10/19/2008 Democratic: 2,814,169 Republican: 1,983,255 Libertarian: 2,844 Unaffiliated: 1,372,603 Total: 6,172,871 [2].
