North Dakota Simplified Initiative and Referendum Process Initiative (1918)
The North Dakota Simplified Initiative and Referendum Process Initiative, also known as Amendment to Section 25 on Initiative and Referendum, was on the November , 5 1918 ballot in North Dakota as an initiated constitutional amendment, where it was approved.
The measure changed the required signatures to 10,000 for initiating a statutory measure and to 7,000 for referring legislation actions and providing that initiated measures would go directly to a vote of the people. This measure simplified the original initiative and referendum process established in 1914.
