North Dakota's State Militia (or SR-4012) appeared on the November 2006 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved.[1]

Impact

It was to ammend a North Dakota law: Section 16 of Article XI of the North Dakota Constitution to redefine reserve and active militia and to remove obsolete language in regard to age and gender in the reserve militia and to remove the residency requirement for the active militia that is the North Dakota National Guard. This measure became effective on August 1, 2006.
