This measure sought to renew the current .2415 mill that is used to help maintain and operate the park district. Since it was approved the tax will be in place for a further ten years.[2] An average home will pay $21 a year to support these services. The money goes to help support the thirteen county parks which amount to near 6,700 acres of land and 75 full time jobs. A survey of county residents held before the election showed large support to continue to help fund the park services offered by the county.[3]
