The 2nd Congressional District of Ohio is a congressional district that is located in the southwestern region of the state.

Ohio's 2nd congressional district is located in the southern portion of the state and includes Hamilton, Clermont, Brown, Highland, Adams, Scioto, Pike and Ross counties.[1]

The district previously stretched along the Ohio River. It included all of Adams, Brown, Pike, and Clermont counties.

The 2nd district leans heavily Republican.

The current representative of the 2nd congressional district is Brad Wenstrup (R).

The 2nd congressional district of Ohio held an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 6, 2012. Republican Brad Wenstrup won the election in the district.[2]

On November 2, 2010, Jean Schmidt (R) won re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives, defeating Surya Yalamanchili (D) and Libertarian candidate Marc Johnston . [3]
