The Ohio Transportation Bonds Amendment, also known as Issue 1, was on the November 5, 1968 ballot as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment in Ohio, where it was approved.[1] This amendment provides $500 million in bonds for transportation and other government services.

Shall Article VIII of the Ohio Constitution be amended by adding Section 2 to authorize $500,000,000 additional obligations, including bonds and notes for highways and research for highways and highway transportation, and $259,000,000 for other capital improvements, of which $120,000,000 is for water pollution control and water management, $100,000,000 for higher education, technical and vocational education, and juvenile correction, training, and rehabilitation, $20,000,000 for parks and recreation, and $19,000,000 for airports and other state buildings and structures, including those for police and fire training?[4]
