Ohio Issue 1 (Primary) (1973) was a measure to authorize a state lottery. This ballot measure was referred to the ballot by the Ohio State Legislature. It passed, with 64% of voters in favor.

Text of the proposal

Appeared on the ballot in the May 8, 1973 primary election To authorize the state to conduct lotteries, the net proceeds of which shall be paid into the general revenue fund of the state (Art. XV, Sec. 6)[1]
