David Johnson, the chairman of the elections board and chairman of the Columbiana County Republican Party, called for a poll worker to resign. The allegations involve improper voting by a non-resident.[1]
Two out of state persons voted
Peter Grant Jr. and Molly Thompson, moved from North Carolina to Ohio, and registered to vote and cast ballots on Sept. 30. Ohio law requires that a person be a permanent resident before they are allowed to vote. On their registration, the two gave their address as the home of Bea Delpapa, a poll worker who also is a presiding judge of a county precinct. Their votes have been voluntarily withdrawn.[1]
Johnson asked Delpapa to step down from her election work. There was no word Friday if she did so.[1]
