November 4, 2008 ballot for voters in the Ojai Unified School District in Ventura County, California, where it was defeated.
If Measure P had been approved, it would have imposed a $89 dollars per parcel tax annually for seven (7) years.
A 2/3rds supermajority vote was required for approval.

| Measure P: "In order to maintain small class sizes, retain highly qualified teachers and staff, continue to offer fine arts programs (such as music, dance, and drama), maintain athletic programs, avoid closure of schools and libraries, and continue to improve student proficiency in core curriculum, shall the Ojai Unified School District levy a tax of $89 per parcel annually for seven years with annual audits, 65 years and older exemptions, and independent citizens oversight?" |
