Oklahoma, nicknamed "The Sooner State," is bordered by Texas, Arkansas, Colorado, Missouri, Kansas and New Mexico. The state capital and largest city is Oklahoma City. Oklahoma’s state name originates from the Choctaw words "okla" and "humma," meaning "red people.

Oklahoma has two members of the U.S. Senate, a total of five members of the U.S. House of Representatives, 48 members of the State Senate and 101 members of the House of Representatives.
