Oklahoma State Question 524 (Initiative #300) appeared on the 1978 ballot in Oklahoma. It passed, with 449,516 in favor and 252,820 opposed.

It was an initiated state statute.

The objective of the measure was to stagger motor vehicle registration by the month, rather than requiring every vehicle to renew its registration at the same time each year.

87,380 signatures were required to qualify it for the ballot.
