Olan Reeves is a current member of the Arkansas Public Service Commission. He was first appointed to a six year term on the commission by Gov. Mike Beebe on January 15, 2009.

Biography

Reeves graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a B.A. in religion. He taught in the public schools in El Dorado and Norphlet from 1974 to 1982, leaving to attend law school. He graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School in 1985 and clerked for two years for David Newbern, who at the time was an associate justice on the Arkansas Supreme Court. After his clerkship Reeves continued his public service in the Office of the Arkansas Attorney General, where he worked as assistant attorney general and senior assistant attorney general.[1]

Reeves has served as a member of the Arkansas Public Service Commission since January 2009.

Workers Compensation Commission (2003-2009)

Reeves chaired the Workers' Compensation Commission from 2003 until his appointment to the public service commission.[1]

Chief Legal Counsel (1998-2003)

Reeves served as Chief Legal Counsel to the Governor of Arkansas until 2003.[1]

State Drug Director (1996-1998)

From 1996 to 1998, Reeves served as the State Drug Director.[1]
