Two School District Levy Renewal measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the school districts of Olmstead Falls and Orange City which are in Cuyahoga County.

Both measures were approved

The Olmstead Falls measure sought to add to the current school levy by a rate of $.28 per $100 of assessed property value for a period of five years in order to continue to pay for general improvements as needed in the district.

The Orange City measure sought to add to the current school levy by a rate of $.50 per $100 of assessed property value for a continuing period of time in order to continue to pay for current expenses in the district.[1]

Olmstead Falls

The question on the ballot:

An additional tax for the benefit of the Olmsted Falls City School District for the purpose of general permanent improvements at a rate not exceeding 2.8 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to 28 cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3]

Orange City

The question on the ballot:

An additional tax for the benefit of the Orange City School District for the purpose of current expenses at a rate not exceeding 5.0 mills for each dollar of valuation, which amounts to 50 cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3]
