This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $1 million in order to help pay for maintenance and improvement costs for the schools in the district.[1] On average, an additional $9 a year would have been added to local property taxes if this bond had been approved. Various upgrades to safety at the school and facility improvements would have been done with the money which school officials noted was much needed for some buildings in the district.[2]
