This measure was approved
- YES 8,366 (70.17%)
- NO 3,557 (29.83%)
This measure sought to increase the county sales and use tax by .25%. This tax was estimated to be able to bring in around $4 million in addition revenue for the county. Opponents stated that the county should be more responsible with the tax monies already received and should not ask residents for more. The county had tried two times before to pass this sales tax increase and both times had previously failed.
