The question on the ballot:

Shall Article II, Section 7 of the City of Opa-locka Charter be amended to provide for the Mayor and City Commissioners to receive deferred compensation of Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00) per year and health insurance for Commissioners leaving office after serving eight (8) or more years for remainder of that fiscal year, and life insurance benefits for a period of five (5) years, thereafter?[3]
