Orange County School Property Tax Increase (November 2010)

An Orange County School Property Tax Increase measure was on the November 2, 2010 ballot in Orange County. This measure sought to increase the current school property tax by 1 mill for a further four years in order to help provide school school programs and services offered.[1]

Text of measure

Shall the Orange County School district ad valorem millage be increased by a total of one mill for essential operating expenses in order to preserve academic programs, retain highly qualified teachers and protect arts, athletics and student activities beginning July 1, 2011, and ending four (4) fiscal years later on June 30, 2015, with annual reporting to ensure proper fiscal stewardship of these funds to the citizens of Orange County?[3][4]
