A Orcas Island Park District Levy Implementation measure was on the February 8, 2011 ballot in the Orcas Island park district area which is in San Juan County.
This measure was approved
- YES 1,425 (61.8%)
- NO 881 (38.2%)[1]
This was the second attempt by the district to get a levy passed to fund the area. This measure will implement a levy set at a rate of $.09 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a period of six years in order to help fund park and recreational programs.[2]
